Ingredients
- 2 thick slices bread
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices ham
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) grated cheese

Step 1
Cut an opening in both slices of bread, big enough to stuff the fillings into and fill with the ham and cheese.

Step 2
In a shallow bowl, mix together eggs, milk and salt.

Step 3
Dip one slice of bread at a time into egg mixture and let soak for 10 seconds on each side.

Step 4
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5
Fry soaked bread 1-1/2 to 2 minutes each side or until golden brown. Add more butter if necessary to keep slices from sticking.
