Baked Cinnamon French Toast
Baked French Toast is a quick and easy breakfast recipe and works especially well for lazy weekend breakfasts and crowds!

Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 6 slices bread (white, whole wheat or raisin)
- 1 tsp (5ml) ground cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple or golden syrup
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract

Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Spray a 3.5-litre baking dish with cooking spray. Arrange bread slices to fit in a single layer in dish; sprinkle with cinnamon.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, syrup, butter and vanilla just until blended. Pour evenly over bread.
Step 3
Bake immediately or cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Step 4
Bake uncovered 30 minutes or until firm to the touch. Garnish with fruit. Serve hot, with additional syrup.
